tuition for Prizewinning Photography is $399 for the course and materials. A $100 deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remainder due upon arrival.

The course fee of $399 covers instructor and material fees, and all required film and processing. Housing and meals are location specific. This cost covers room and board from Sunday night through Saturday morning. Students requiring additional time at the facility will be charged an additional fee, and will need to make special arrangements.

How long are the courses?

Each course begins on Sunday evening with a welcome and orientation and ends Friday night around 9 pm.

What is the minimum age requirement for attending IPS?

We require that Prizewinning Photography students be at least 16 years old.

How many people will be in each class?

We have chosen to limit the class size to around 25 students. This allows us to give one-on-one attention that would not be possible with a bigger class.

What equipment is required for Prizewinning Photography?

Each student must have an SLR-type camera (either film or digital) that allows manual control of the aperture and shutter speed. (Please make sure you have extra batteries and the camera's manual! For questions about digicams please refer to dpreview.com. Cameras should fall into the SLR or SLR-Like category for use at Prizewinning Photography.)

We strongly recommend that students bring any other equipment they have: lenses, flashes, filters, etc. While it's not required, participants will likely find a tripod to be especially helpful throughout the week.

Will this course count for TELOS credits?

Yes, TELOS grants 2 credit hours for Prizewinning Photography.
